About Us

Transition Tamers was formed in an effort to address the needs of a growing number of Baby Boomers & their parents and loved ones in a variety of ways, from downsizing to aging in place, as they transition to a new stage of life.  Co-Owners, Cindy Leap & Kandy Schreiner, have developed their expertise in relating to the needs of older adults through extensive study of pertinent issues and the development of an extensive network of professionals who work with the aging population to simplify and manage the many life transitions they encounter.  Transition Tamers’ passion & heart for working with this demographic was borne out of their personal experiences with assisting their own aging parents and relatives as they transitioned into new life situations.  Our ultimate goal is to simplify lives one move and transition at a time, treating our clients with the dignity and respect we would expect for our own loved ones.

MEET CINDY:  A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Belk College of Business, Cindy also holds a Certificate in Aging Studies and certification as an Activity Director from Central Piedmont Community College. As a Realtor in the greater Charlotte area for more than 25 years, she held the National Association of Realtors designation of Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
Her interest in working with older adults was sparked after assisting elder relatives in their own life transitions to assisted living. She has specific interest and training in exploring such issues as options for aging/living in place, downsizing, organizing, and improvement of quality of life for older adults and their families through advocacy.
